Industrial vacuum cleaners for M and H dusts in Zone 22

The IVM 40/12-1 H Z22 (photo) and IVM 40/12-1 M Z22 are two new one-motor, mobile industrial vacuum cleaners that are suitable for the safe and simple absorption of fine explosive dusts in classes M and H within Zone 22 as per ATEX requirements. The IVM 40/12-1 M Z22 industrial vacuum is designed for solids with dust class M. The machine is equipped with a large conductive star filter. A star filter offers a particularly large filter area with which fine dusts can be absorbed effectively. The filter is made of polyester with interwoven wire and is coated with polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). The coating ensures that even sticky, oily dusts can be vacuumed without adhering to the filter. The IVM 40/12-1 H Z22 model has a two-stage, safe filter system for flammable and hazardous dusts in dust class H. Apart from the large PFTE star filter (1.6 m² filter area), a downstream H cartridge filter (1.6 m² filter area) is also installed, which enables the effective suction of hazardous H dusts. The downstream H filter is protected since it comes into contact with fewer particles, thus extending its lifetime. — Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG, Winnenden, Germany
