Lightweight, with a 1-hp motor and a 20-cfm rate of air consumption at 90 psi, the LRP 1503 AIR Boa Pipe Sander promises to be a comprehensive polishing solution for handrails, pipe and tubing. The device’s sanding arm independently covers 270 deg around the radius of a pipe and a full 360 deg with slight rotations by the operator. Its electric model offers an 11-A motor and variable-speed control between 12 – 40 ft/s. Although both pneumatic and electric models come with a variety of sanding belts, additional belts are also available: either at 1.5-in. wide for sanding straight sections or at 0.75-in. wide for reaching into elbows and corners.
