Kurita Water Industries merges businesses in Canada

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Tokyo) announced that Kurita Canada Inc. (KCI), a consolidated subsidiary mainly engaged in the sale of water treatment chemicals in Canada, and Keytech Water Management (KTWM), a wholly owned subsidiary of KCI mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of water treatment chemicals in the same country, have amalgamated on April 1, 2024.

In the medium-term management plan Pioneering Shared Value 2027 (PSV-27) through fiscal 2027, the Kurita Group aims to create shared value with society through various industries and sets the expansion of solutions, particularly in the CSV business, and their globally horizontal deployment, as one of the key initiatives. In addition, to promote these initiatives, we have been addressing to solve customers and social issues by developing our business foundation in each region of Japan, Asia, EMEA, and North and South America to strengthen our system for flexibly creating and providing optimal solutions.

Regarding these backgrounds, to optimize the business resources of KCI, operating in the western Canada, and KTWM, operating in the eastern Canada where is concentrated various industries, these two companies have amalgamated to launch new entity of KCI. By strengthening the business foundation to rapidly address multiple solutions responding to various issues of customers as the new organization, the Kurita Group will work to improve customer intimacy, aiming to expand our business in Canada further.
