The Planex System is a patented, multi-product dryer for vacuum drying of wet powders obtained from a centrifuge or filter press. The system consists of a fixed cylindrical chamber with an eccentric agitator inside that undergoes two independent movements; it can rotate on its own axis as well as tangential to the cylinder. This combined double rotation allows optimal mixing of the product, continuously renewing the surface of the mass exposed to evaporation, covering the entire volume of the vessel. As a result, solvent release is facilitated and drying times are significantly reduced, says the manufacturer.
