This natural-gas analyzer now has new features

| By Mary Page Bailey and Gerald Ondrey

A new version of the J22 tunable diode-laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) gas analyzer (photo) now includes support for the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, which enables users to communicate with their analyzers from a central network location in a bidirectional, secure point-to-point manner. Combined with the addition of a native web server, this enables users to easily monitor, configure and service analyzers remotely. The web server also can be used to optimize the analyzer. — Endress+Hauser, Greenwood, Ind.
